How To Rent

Tekserve offers short-term computer rentals to individuals and businesses. We have an extensive inventory of Apple computers and displays, as well as projectors and accessories. Whether you need a Mac to check your e-mail, edit with Final Cut Pro on location, or run Windows with Boot Camp, we’ve got you covered.

How To Rent From Tekserve

  • Contact the rental department to make a rental reservation. We always have computers in stock, but if you need a specific model or a special configuration, we recommend making a reservation.
  • Come to Tekserve with your photo ID and a major credit card in your name (for other payment options, please see our FAQ.) We will charge your credit card a security deposit for the value of the rental ($1,000-$4,000).
  • Use the rental computer however you would like. You have full administrative privileges to install any software.
  • Make sure to periodically backup any files you create or modify on the rental computer. (We recommend using a USB flash drive, .Mac account, or portable external hard drive.) Our computers are tested after every rental but we can never predict when one might fail or be forgotten in a cab. Your data will be erased and zeroed out once the computer is returned to Tekserve.
  • Return the rental to Tekserve before we close on your due date. We’ll refund your security deposit, minus rental charges, upon return. If you need to extend a rental, please contact the rental department 24 hours before your due date.

    About Rental Reservations

    To make a reservation, please call 212.929.3645 x3 or contact us to check availability. To secure the reservation you‘ll need a major credit card. Please note that the first day of rental charges are non-refundable if you cancel.
