About Renting The MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is unlike any other computer that you could rent. Please read over the following limitations carefully before renting a MacBook Air.

1. The MacBook Air is made for basic applications, word processing, and web browsing. It does not perform well with professional applications like Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools or Adobe CS3.

2. The MacBook Air has a small hard drive. You will only have about 40GB of available space.

3. The MacBook Air only has an Airport Extreme Wireless Card (802.11b/g/n wireless Internet). We include the USB to Ethernet adapter that allows you to connect to broadband/cable/DSL networks. You may request a USB modem for dial-up Internet access when you reserve.

4. The MacBook Air only has one USB port, you cannot connect to FireWire hard drives, other Macs, or any other FireWire devices. The MacBook Air only plays well with other Macs that have been upgraded to Mac OS 10.5 Leopard and are on the same wireless network.

5. The MacBook Air's headphone jack is slightly recessed into the computer and some headphones will not work with it.

6. We highly recommend that you use a USB flash drive ("jump drive") with this computer. It is the only easy way to transfer data onto and off the MacBook Air. Tekserve sells USB flash drives starting at $15.

7. The MacBook Air only works with OS 10.5 Leopard, please make sure any applications you plan to use are Leopard compatible.
